**Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk**
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in inventory records, and maintaining a smooth workflow in the distribution center. If you have experience with order fulfillment, operating pallet jacks and forklifts, and possess strong organizational skills, we encourage you to apply.
**Responsibilities:**
- Process incoming shipments by verifying contents, comparing purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing materials to the appropriate departments.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items securely, labeling packages accurately, and arranging for transportation.
- Utilize AS400 or similar software to update inventory records and track shipments.
- Operate reach trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks to move materials within the distribution center.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient load and unload processes.
- Perform basic math calculations to verify quantities and weights of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse setting preferred.
- Proficiency in using AS400 or similar inventory management software preferred.
- Ability to operate reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Familiarity with MRP systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Basic math skills for inventory counts and calculations.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.
