Rome Health is currently searching for a Ward Clerk/Emergency Department Technician to provide general administrative, clerical, and support services. Duties will also include functioning as an emergency room department technician:
General patient care to include accurate measurement of vital signs, weights, intake and output, assistance with meals, and special procedures according to established nursing procedures.
Answers patient call light whether that of assigned patient, anticipates patient needs, & demonstrates a cooperative attitude when assisting patients.
Completes Unit Specific Credentialing/Skills checklist with age specific credentials for population served.
Will collect, label and transport specimens to proper areas upon request.
Will report any change in patient condition or behaviors to the Clinical Leader or Staff Nurse in a timely manner.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
2-3 Years of experience preferred.
