Waiter (Bar) NA-02

Duties
  • Takes orders placed by patrons for alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.
  • Maintains sales records.
  • Keeps service bar area clean and orderly. Cleans and clears customer service areas. May assist bartender in dispensing beverages and restocking the bar area.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Conditions of Employment
  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-15j. Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
  • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours annual refresher training.
  • Must meet state/local age requirement of 21 at the time of appointment if serving alcoholic beverages.
  • A physical is required.

1. Where duties involve selling alcoholic beverages applicant must meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverages at the time of appointment.
2. Possess basic math skills necessary to compute patron bills and make change.

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.

FWS Allowances and Differential
  • This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
  • All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.

Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives will not be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
