Office of the Prosecuting Attorney for Harrison County TITLE: VICTIM ADVOCATE The Harrison County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office seeks a person for the position of VICTIM ADVOCATE. The Victim Advocate provides support and services to victims of crime for the prosecution of criminal cases on behalf of the State of West Virginia in Harrison County. It includes, but may not be limited to, the following duties: general law office duties to include communication with victims, service providers, and other agencies; accompany victims to hearings; Victim Safety Planning; e-filing; parole notification; etc. Language skills required are the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Good computer skills, including the ability to conduct computer assisted legal research, and learn and work with our database system are required. Good people skills and communication skills are a must. This full time position offers a benefits package. Salary is commensurate with experience.
