Job Summary
Performs a variety of responsible semi-skilled work in the operation of a passenger van used to transport human services clients and the general public, and related work as apparent or assigned.
Duties
Minimum Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or its equivalent and two (2) years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Licenses or Certifications:
First Aid/CPR and AED Certifications. Driver's License valid in the State of North Carolina.
Additional Requirements:
Negative Pre-employment drug screen
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.53 - $22.51 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Duties
- Transporting and assisting citizens, children and physically and mentally disabled clients while maintaining van equipment and record keeping.
- Ensures the safe pick up and return of passengers.
- Maintains the van in good working order by regularly checking operating parts: and systems such as checking the fluid levels, checking tire pressure, checking belts and taking the van to the garage when scheduled for service.
- Washes and cleans the van as needed.
- Provides first aid and CPR should the need arise for a passenger.
- Runs errands for senior citizens unable to travel.
- Maintains passenger and trip records.
- Assists passengers on and off the van.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
