Position Summary

Assists equipment operators throughout the plant to achieve budgeted production and quality targets and performs special tasks as directed by the Shift Supervisor.

Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Relieves equipment operators as directed for breaks, absences, or vacations
Cleans main process, log conditioning and finishing building
Assist operators with start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers
Maintains cleanliness of assigned work areas
Notifies Shift Supervisor, Production Supervisor and maintenance department of any equipment problems
Performs other duties that may be assigned to operate the plant
Individual must be able to perform his job by working in high places including stairs, platforms, scaffolding, and decks
Must be able to operate equipment including but not limited to, forklifts, scissor lifts, overhead cranes, Skid steer and front-end loaders, on occasion
Snow removal
Utilizes principles of Manufacturing Excellence (ME) and participates in assigned ME Team activities

Education

High School Diploma in General Studies

Any offered salary is determined based on relevant factors such as an applicant's skills, performance, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications and market considerations.

U.S. Market-Based Salary Range

Utility Person

[$20.17 - $21.27]

In addition to base compensation, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and profit-sharing payout.
