As an Ultrasonographer, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare field by utilizing ultrasound equipment to capture images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. Duties
Perform ultrasound examinations to create images for diagnostic purposes - Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment - Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and ensure their comfort - Collaborate with healthcare providers to analyze imaging results - Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques - Specialize in areas such as Emergency Room (ER) or Obstetrics/Gynecology (Ob/Gyn) *Skills* - Proficiency in sonography techniques - Strong understanding of medicine, anatomy, and physiology - Ability to provide excellent patient care - Effective communication skills to interact with patients and medical staff - Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures - Experience in utilizing aseptic techniques for patient safety
Qualifications
Graduate of a certified CAAHEP school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiologic Technology or a two-year allied health equivalent
Must be ARDMS registered with an ABD or OB/GYN credential.
