Medical Surgical Registered Nurse professionals needed for travel contracts. Meg Surg RN responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and maintaining patient records. Comfortable working directly with patients before and after they complete a surgical procedure to ensure they receive necessary medical attention and available to float when necessary.
Telemetry Registered Nurse professionals needed for travel contracts. Tele RN responsibilities include studying patient history, administering specialized treatment to critically ill patients, keeping medical records, monitoring patients via remote electronic signals and responding to any changes in cardiac rhythm. Comfortable with patients with preexisting heart conditions, elderly patients, obese patients, diabetics, and transfers from the ICU and ER.
Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse professionals needed for travel contracts. PCU and/or Step-Down RN responsibilities include assessing and treating acutely ill patients. Comfortable monitoring critical vital signs, detecting changes/performing interventions when required, and providing care to patients who do not require treatment in Intensive Care Units (ICU), but whose conditions need constant observation and monitoring. In addition, comfortable in cardiac stepdown, medical stepdown, neuro stepdown, surgical stepdown and/or ER holding.
Emergency Room Registered Nurse professionals needed for travel contracts. ER responsibilities include assisting Doctors with emergency medical care, addressing patient injuries and providing a high quality of nursing standards at all times. Comfortable with cleaning wounds and reset bones for patients who enter the Emergency Room, draw blood to send for testing, maintaining Emergency Room care standards, assisting with insurance paperwork as needed, ensuring the efficiency of the patient check-in process, and display strong decision-making skills in emergency scenarios.
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse professionals needed for travel contracts. L&D responsibilities include working with mothers during the final stages of pregnancy helping with birthing, monitoring the mother's vital signs, and becoming astute in signs and symptoms of possible complications. They are involved in patient education and addressing the psychosocial needs of mothers after delivery.
Candidates should be comfortable with a variety of facility types and EMR systems.
All applicants will be working for 13 weeks in a travel role ( minimum 75mile radius from permanent address ) with 36-hour minimum, day or night shifts available. Most travel contracts require 2 years of experience. All Covid-19 precautions are being enforced.
