Substitute Teacher - ESL/High School Equivalency (2 positions)
This is a per diem substitute teacher requisition (2 positions) for purposes of the Adult Education Department at Kenmore Junior Senior High School. Applicants should have the availability to work either 9-1P or 5-9P Monday through Thursday, 12 months, when needed. The ESL/High School Equivalency substitute teacher will serve as a per diem teacher facilitating high quality instruction to a group/groups of diverse learners at Kenmore Junior/Senior High School. *Implement lesson plans left by the primary teacher, adapting as needed to ensure effective learning. *Deliver engaging, learner-centered lessons that accommodate various proficiency levels. *Create a positive and respectful classroom environment, encouraging participation and fostering inclusivity. *Assess student understanding and progress informally, offering guidance and support where necessary. *Manage classroom and maintain attendance records. *Communicate any issues, achievements, or needs to program staff.
