The Student Trainee Program allows students the opportunity to work at Caterpillar while going to school. Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Student Trainee in manufacturing for the 2024-2025 school year

Student Trainees will work approximately 15 hours a week in Caterpillar’s Peoria building LC campus
-
Following training in safety, student trainees will work closely with training instructors and other Global Dealer Learning team members
Basic Qualifications:
-
Must be a high school senior attending a Peoria area Public School
-
3.5 GPA or higher
-
Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week while attending school full time
-
Must have high school counselor support
Desired Qualifications:
-
Successfully completed a high school manufacturing program
-
Interest in a potential career in manufacturing
-
Aptitude for assembly and mechanical work
-
Ability to follow documented procedures for standard work and perform work safely and without defects
Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods

Ability to perform repetitive operations

Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
Additional Information:
There are 6 part-time temporary openings located in Peoria.
