Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate structural steel erection and welding activities on-site.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate fabrication and installation.
- Utilize various welding techniques, including MIG and stick welding, while adhering to safety standards.
- Oversee the use of power tools and hand tools, ensuring proper maintenance and operation.
- Train and mentor team members on welding practices and construction site protocols.
- Conduct inspections to ensure quality and compliance with project specifications.
- Ability to exercise initiative, sound judgement and effective time management in a fast-paced environment with little or no supervision
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints to determine product specifications
- Experience with weld symbols and drawings
- Ability to lead others to achieve required goals
- Supervisory experience
- Ability to fit, align and weld steel, structural steel and similar material
- 3-5+ years welding experience, stick and MIG preferred
- Must pass weld test
- Safely operate and maintain assigned equipment and tools.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Ability to lift, push, pull, carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Minimum of high school diploma, preference to trade school graduate in welding and /or bachelor's degree
