Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify needs and develop appropriate care plans.
- Provide counseling and psychotherapy services to individuals, families, and groups.
- Utilize knowledge of psychopharmacology to support clients in understanding their medication regimens.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, educators, and community organizations to coordinate care and services.
- Implement applied behavior analysis techniques as needed for clients with behavioral challenges.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes using appropriate coding systems.
- Advocate for clients’ rights and access to necessary services within social systems.
- Stay informed about developments in special education resources and Christian counseling approaches to better serve diverse populations.
- Strong skills in patient assessment and the ability to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to social work practice.
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology principles and their application in client care.
- Experience or training in special education methodologies is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on empathy and active listening.
- Familiarity with coding systems used in social work documentation.
- Competence in psychotherapy techniques tailored to individual client needs.
- Understanding of applied behavior analysis principles for effective intervention strategies.
- Ability to integrate Christian counseling perspectives when appropriate for clients seeking faith-based support.
