This position is responsible for operating the silkscreen machinery necessary for printing various Century products to customers expectations.
Essential Functions:
Prepares the press, inspecting screens for defects, and register jobs. Load ink and prepare test prints
Operate production orders on press efficiently while meeting the quality standard
Should be able to assist in identifying and correcting on press problems such as moire, pinholes, etc.
Efficiently break down jobs
Maintain safe and clean work environment
Display good work ethic
Maintain professionalism in the work place
Perform any other assigned proprietary duties
Competencies (knowledge, skills, abilities):
Proficient in screen printing on an automatic press
Proficient in screen printing on a manual press
Basic knowledge of coating screens, burning screens and mixing ink
Basic reading, writing and math skills
Basic computer skills
Ability to understand and comply with verbal instructions
Have a working knowledge of the chemicals used and their proper handling procedures
Able to operate pallet-jack and two-wheeler
Detail oriented
Work environment:Air-conditionedwarehouse environment - activities working around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity and exposure to light dust and fumes.
Physical Demands:
Ability to distinguish colors
Must have 20/40 vision (correctable: glasses, contacts)
Standing or walking 100% daily
Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. with assistance
Grasping and fine manipulations with hands
Reaching, squatting, climbing, pushing, pulling
Required Education and Experience:
At least 6 months of screen printing experience
Basic knowledge of coating screens, burning screens and mixing ink
High school diploma or GED
