Service & Sales Specialist
Description: Established in the Blue Ridge foothills of North Carolina in 1963, Leonard Truck Outfitters is a manufacturer and distributor whose product lines include storage buildings, cargo and utility trainers, truck covers, truck and van accessories, carports, playhouses, chicken coops, and dog houses. Job Summary
The Service & Sales Specialist has operations in the U.S., and has overall responsibility for engaging customers, driving sales, and performing high-quality installation of aftermarket automotive parts. This position reports directly to the Store Manager and does not have direct reports.
Job Responsibilities
- Engages with customers to showcase buildings, trailers, truck accessories, and store products.
- Conducts needs assessments to understand customer requirements and offer tailored solutions.
- Guides customers through the sales process, from consultation to final purchase, ensuring satisfaction.
- Develops deep product knowledge to provide expert recommendations.
- Meets or exceeds monthly sales targets through effective customer engagement and follow-up.
- Assists with maintaining the sales lot, ensuring products are displayed attractively and are accessible.
- Acts as Manager on Duty (MOD) when scheduled, handling operational and customer service needs.
- Installs aftermarket automotive parts and accessories, including bed liners, trailer hitches, running boards, LED lighting, and more.
- Conducts pre- and post-installation quality checks.
- Troubleshoots and resolves installation issues.
- Provides advice and recommendations on accessory selection and installation options.
- Maintains a clean and organized workspace.
- Completes accurate work orders and invoices for all installations.

Requirements: Competencies (skills, knowledge, and abilities)
- Must be able to PASS a background and a drug test.
- Proven experience in sales and installation, preferably in automotive or construction-related industries.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building customer relationships.
- Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of aftermarket automotive parts and accessories.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with basic computer programs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license.
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Previous experience in automotive parts installation, sales or related roles.
This position does not require travel.
