Service Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to oversee our automotive service department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery, managing staff, and maintaining customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong background in automotive service management, along with excellent leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of the service department to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.
Supervise and train service staff, including technicians and service writers, to enhance their skills and performance.
Oversee auto estimating processes, ensuring accurate assessments of vehicle repairs and maintenance needs.
Collaborate with the sales team to drive automotive sales and promote service offerings to customers.
Maintain customer relationships by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and providing exceptional service.
Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the service department.
Conduct regular inspections of work performed by technicians to ensure quality standards are met.

Skills

Proficient in auto estimating and automotive service management practices.
Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including air brake systems, auto body repair, suspension, alignment, and general automotive repair.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
Ability to write clear and concise service reports as part of the service writing process.
Proven experience in automotive sales is a plus.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
