POSITION SUMMARY: The Security Guard will be responsible for monitoring the safety and security of the facility
RESPONSIBILITIES – Satisfactorily performing and/or achieving the following Responsibilities are essential duties of
the job.

Monitors employee foot traffic and confirms they have badges as they enter and depart through the entrance while
adhering to the required protocol. - Follows all assigned post orders, both general and specific.
- Coordinates and personally conducts daily patrols of the building and site.
- Monitors thermostatic controls to maintain specified temperatures in designated rooms.
- Monitors CCTV camera feeds as required.
- Assists Human Resources with potential threat issues as identified.

Monitor’s parking lot activities, including during swing shift, especially at the beginning and end of all shifts when it
is dark outside. - Promptly and within protocol training responds to opening of any unauthorized entries/exits and security emergencies.

Watches for and immediately and per training reports irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and
security doors left unlocked. - Coordinates with first responders as appropriate.
- Assists with periodic safety and security audits, inspections, and drills.
- Requires weekend and holiday work.
- Shifts may vary as needed to meet companies’ security goals.
- Keeps Security Supervisor informed of all issues and concerns in a timely manner.
- Utilizes appropriate chain of command for notifications and incidents.
- Interacts with other departments in a positive and supportive manner.
- Effective member of a high-performing team, promoting teamwork as well as fostering a positive work environment

- High School Diploma or GED is required.
