The Japanese manufacturing company (Packaging industry) is looking for a Sales Assistant to support their sales activities.
Hiring: Direct Hire, Full-time
Primary (Sales Support Activities):
Be the point person for product orders (for the US and Canadian markets) to our customers and the logistics support team.
Take ownership of the Customer Forecast Tracking Chart.
Oversee taking all reported information from the Business Development Team about new customers and correlating that information into the Customer Forecast Tracking Chart as well.
coordinate and communicate product delivery schedules and confirmed delivery dates with customers.
Take ownership of all Sample Requests that are shipped out from the Warehouse and other locations.
Track the arrival of each sample and correlate the result of the trials done with those samples in a matrix.
Secondary (Office Support Activities):
Telephone communication to the office, reception and support for visitors (clients and business travelers).
Take ownership of any Office Related needs including, but not limited to, communicating with leasing company for any repair or cleaning needs, speaking with the internet provider when issues, and restocking office supplies as needed.
Near future:
Support in identifying new target customers based on guidance from sales representatives. Specifically, this involves creating and managing a matrix for sharing.
In the future:
Be the point person for communicating with the Warehouse (outside logistics company) for all shipping and logistics needs (Shipping operations).
Be the point person for product orders (for the US and Canadian markets) to other Import operations locations.
Job Requirements
5 years and more of similar role experience is ideal. (Sales Assistant, Inside Sales, CS, logistics etc.)
Nourishing strong communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and meet deadlines are all required.
Maintaining a professional demeanor while integrating with the entire team to achieve common goals would also be required.
Maintaining customer confidentiality is a must.
Either a familiarity with the Japanese language, or an interest in Japanese culture would be a plus for any candidate, but not a requirement.
