We are currently seeking a full-time, remote Revenue Cycle Management Guide for an industry leader in the healthcare revenue cycle management industry. The RCM Guide is a proactive subject matter expert in revenue cycle management, dedicated to enhancing quality and performance.
This role supports the Account Executive and third-party vendors as part of the core service delivery team, utilizing client data, performance metrics, and KPIs to develop and execute Action Plans that drive client satisfaction and retention. The RCM Guide communicates actively, monitors key performance indicators, and identifies trends, ensuring the highest standards of client service and performance integrity.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in medical billing, revenue cycle, and accounts receivable management.
- Strong background in financial reporting and analytics.
- Comprehensive knowledge of physician revenue cycle management and practice management.
- Expertise in building and sustaining client relationships.
- Practical business development experience.
- Knowledge of third-party billing and claims processing.
- Strong work ethic and dedication to excellence.
- Experience with e Clinical Works or other EMR/EHR systems (required).
- Proven experience leading strategic initiatives and high-performance teams.
- Demonstrated success as part of an Account Team, focused on revenue growth, client satisfaction, and retention.
- Ability to communicate effectively with executives, physicians, and various staff levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the subject matter expert for client revenue cycle management (RCM) needs and provide tailored insights specific to each client’s practice.
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to open new revenue opportunities aligned with client goals.
- Serve as an expert resource for managing client expectations, addressing insight report needs, handling invoice questions, external escalation calls, and identifying RCM industry opportunities.
- Stay informed on relationship-building activities, new client implementations, workflow updates, and system file builds.
Client Performance Oversight:
- Track and evaluate daily client performance, establish KPIs, and monitor Action Plans to ensure successful outcomes.
- Partner with the Account Executive to foster client behavioral changes for improved performance and conduct monthly financial assessments.
- Prepare month-end invoicing reports, flag accounts needing special attention, and assess the impact of Red Flag Action Plans, ensuring all are managed proactively.
Accountability:
- Client Relationship: Hold the Vendor Partner accountable for meeting client performance standards.
- Client Performance: Ensure Vendor Partner accurately completes daily trackers, identifies KPI outliers, and develops action plans, addressing client issues promptly and effectively.
- Coding Resource & Education: Ensure coding education is provided to clients, including E/M Bell Curve audits and proactive resolution of coding denial trends.
- System Resource & Training: Ensure RCM Systems and Training Specialist maintains and updates EHR/PM systems, and that client training on RCM processes and workflows is conducted.
- Patient Service Resource: Hold Patient Service Resource accountable for managing escalated issues and resolving KPI outliers through action plans.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Retention (50% weight): Maintain 98% retention for clients <18 months, and 93% retention for clients >18 months.
- Performance (50% weight): Ensure 90% of clients meet or exceed revenue performance goals, with only 10% below target.
