Position Summary:
The Resolution Associate represents Taxpayers in both “complex” and“ general” tax controversy. The Associate will work closely with Case Managers, Enrolled Agents, and Attorney Managers on case plan/strategy and execution. The Associate will perform an in-depth review of client’s case file to identify potential solutions and then negotiate on the Taxpayer’s behalf to the Taxing Authority.
Essential job duties and responsibilities 1. Identifies case resolution options, and guides implementation ofthe case plan by coordinating the efforts of the Financial Analyst, Case Diagnostic Specialist, and Tax Professional. 2. Performs the Case Solutions meeting with Taxpayer to thoroughly explain strategy for resolution. 3. Directs client to be provided frequent case updates throughout the resolution process via phone, email, text, and other means. 4. In complex cases, drafts and prepares correspondence to IRS and clients. 5. Conducts frequent reviews for each resolution file to ensure cases are being resolved efficiently and cost-effectively for the client. 6. Monitors and updates case management database, case calendars, and deadlines 7. Analyzes Taxing Authority correspondence to accurately direct appropriate response. Education
J.D. from an accredited university or college. Must be a licensed attorney, preferably in Louisiana

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. Capacity to manage ambiguity and not require rigid structure during the workday.

Requires energy and stamina for meeting tight deadlines. Can manage multiple priorities with minimal stress.
