We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Rehab Transporter to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients during their rehabilitation sessions.
Responsibilities:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Rehab Transporter to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients during their rehabilitation sessions.
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport patients to and from the rehab gym and their units.
- Assist clinical staff in transferring patients from beds, wheelchairs, and to treatment areas.
- Provide physical assistance to ensure patient safety during therapy.
- Comfort and support patients and their families with encouragement.
- Deliver necessary equipment and supplies to treatment areas.
- Transport durable medical equipment, materials, and assistive devices as directed by clinicians.
- Follow all safety protocols when transporting patients.
- Help maintain a clean and safe rehab gym environment by performing cleaning and disinfecting tasks.
- Strong customer, interdisciplinary, and patient service skills.
- Outstanding bedside manner.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- High emotional intelligence.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and maintain a healthy endurance.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience in a nursing home or similar facility preferred.
