Registered Nurse Unit Manager
Job Title – Registered Nurse Unit Manger
Contract – 13 Weeks
Pay rate - $60/hr. to $63/hr.
Shift – 8am – 4:30pm
Experience - 1yr+
Location – Burlington, VT
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse Manager to join our healthcare team. As a Registered Nurse Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This is a leadership position that requires strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage a team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the nursing staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
- Monitor patient care activities to ensure adherence to established standards of care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and resolve any issues or concerns
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in complex patient cases or challenging situations
- Conduct regular meetings with nursing staff to provide updates, address concerns, and promote professional development
- Oversee the maintenance of accurate patient records and documentation
- Stay up to date with advancements in healthcare technology, treatments, and best practices
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in [PA]
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required; master's degree in nursing or healthcare administration preferred
- Minimum of [1+] years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with demonstrated leadership abilities
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, infection control protocols, and healthcare regulations
- Proficient in electronic health record systems (e Clinical Works preferred)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to effectively manage a team and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in utilization review, health coaching, primary care, IV infusion, catheterization, phlebotomy, and anatomy knowledge is highly desirable
