Registered Nurse Psychiatric (Urgent needs)

Position Name: Travel Registered Nurse Psychiatric (Urgent needs)
Location: Georgetown, DE 19947
Start Date: ASAP
Employment Type: Full-time, Travel, Contract, Temporary
Contract Length: 16 weeks-Accepting Local and Travel Candidates
Pay Rate: $2160 Gross pay (Non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)
Unit: Psychiatric
Shift: 12 hours shifts, Nights, 7a - 7.30p | Days, 7a - 7.30p | Afternoons, 3p - 3.30 a (or) 8-hr afternoons 3p - 11.30p
Schedule: 36 hours / Week, 8 or 12 hours shifts, any 3 or 5 days of the week including every other weekend and Holidays Rotation
Position Requirements:

2+ years of Recent/Current Inpatient Acute Psychiatric Nursing experience
Comfortable and willing to work with adolescents, adults patient population
Float to Adult and Adolescent units
Must have experience with Paper charting

Education, License and Certification Requirements:

ASN or an equivalent – Required
BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred
RN License for the state or compact if applicable - Required
HWC Certification - Preferred
BLS Certification from AHA - Required

Job Description:

Provide all aspects of Psychiatric Nursing care for patients in assigned psych units.
Provide care for inpatient adult and adolescent units
Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
Develop and implement nursing care plans.
Responsible for assessment, diagnosis, planning and establishing outcomes, implementation, and evaluation.
Accurately and promptly implements physicians’ orders.
Prepares, administers, and records medications in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications.
Records information concisely, accurately and completely.
Participates in multidisciplinary treatment planning and revises plan of care based on assessment.
