We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
Assess and monitor patients' health status, including vital signs and symptoms.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Perform procedures such as venipuncture, catheterization, gastric lavage, and dialysis.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Utilize electronic health record systems, specifically Cerner, for documentation and patient management.
Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
Provide support in critical situations, including ventilating patients as needed.
Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive team environment.
Requirements
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Experience in an inpatient medical/surgical setting preferred.
Proficient in using electronic health record systems; experience with Cerner is a plus.
Strong knowledge of physiology and medical terminology.
Ability to perform advanced nursing skills such as ventilating patients, catheterizing, and conducting venipuncture.
Familiarity with pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) protocols is desirable.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
