We are seeking an experienced and compassionate ER Registered Nurse (RN) to provide quality care in the emergency department in Williston, ND. The ideal candidate will have experience in emergency nursing and be capable of quickly assessing, stabilizing, and treating patients in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment. You will be part of a collaborative team working to provide emergency care for a wide range of conditions, from trauma to life-threatening illnesses.
Duties
- Assess, triage, and monitor patients in the emergency department, responding promptly to changes in their condition.
- Administer medications, IVs, wound care, and other emergency treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians, trauma surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide emergency care for patients with conditions such as trauma, cardiac emergencies, stroke, and other critical conditions.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, recovery expectations, and post-discharge instructions.
- Document all patient information accurately and promptly using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Respond to emergency situations and stabilize patients as needed, participating in life-saving interventions.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an ER RN in an emergency room or urgent care setting.
- Experience in handling high-acuity cases and critical patients is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Active ND or compact state RN license.
- BLS, ACLS, TNCC and PALS certifications required.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to handle high-stress situations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
