Job Summary
As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities by implementing behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). Your work will directly impact the lives of those you support, helping them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
This position is in the client's home in New City, NY. This is an after school position between the hours of 3-6 pm. Access to reliable transportation is necessary for this position.
Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA
- Collect and record data on individual's progress and behaviors
- Provide direct 1:1 therapy using principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Educate and support clients and their families on behavioral strategies
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Skills
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis principles
- Experience with data collection and analysis
- Familiarity with medical records documentation
- Strong background in behavioral therapy or related field
- Understanding of behavioral health practices
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities
