We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work in a school setting, providing direct one-on-one and group behavioral interventions to students. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and adolescents with autism and other developmental disabilities. This role is essential in providing support and education to clients and their families, fostering positive behavior changes, and enhancing the quality of life for those we serve.
Responsibilities
Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as designed by the supervising BCBA.
Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress towards goals.
Assist in developing care plans that address the unique needs of each client.
Provide direct support to clients during therapy sessions, focusing on behavior management techniques.
Educate clients and their School faculty about behavioral health strategies and interventions.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure a cohesive approach to client care.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is required.
Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or in behavioral health settings is preferred.
Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
Ability to manage challenging behaviors using appropriate behavior management strategies.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding medical records and client information.
A passion for educating others about behavioral health practices.
