Ensure Safety: Implementing and overseeing safety protocols protect team members from the hazards associated with high-temperature operations and refractory materials.
Minimize Downtime: Regular maintenance and timely repairs prevent unexpected breakdowns, ensuring continuous production and minimizing costly downtime.
Manage Cost: Efficient use and procurement of refractory materials help control costs and contribute to the overall financial health of the company.

Key Responsibilities
Material Selection and Procurement: Choosing the right refractory materials that can withstand the extreme temperatures and chemical environments in steel production.
Installation and Maintenance: Overseeing the installation of refractory linings in furnaces, and other equipment. Regular maintenance and timely repairs are essential to prevent downtime and extend the life of the equipment.
Quality Control: Ensuring that the refractory materials meet the required specifications and standards. This includes verifying tests for properties like abrasion resistance, thermal conductivity, and compressive strength.
Process Optimization: Working closely with production teams to optimize the use of refractories, improving energy efficiency, and reducing costs.
Safety Management: Implementing safety protocols to protect workers from the hazards associated with high-temperature operations and handling of refractory materials.
Budget Management: Managing the budget for refractory materials and related expenses, ensuring cost-effective procurement and usage.
Training and Development: Identifying training needs and development opportunities for team members. Training staff on the proper handling and installation of refractory materials, as well as staying updated on the latest advancements in refractory technology.
Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Addressing any issues that arise with refractory materials or installations and developing solutions to prevent future problems.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a strong background in refractory materials, installation, and maintenance, with a proven track record of managing projects and teams effectively. Knowledge

Steel Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge of the various stages of steel production and how refractories are used in each stage.
