The Parks & Recreation Department is seeking inspired candidates who will provide fun and impactful work performing difficult technical work planning and supervising recreation programs and scheduling programs and events. Main duties include but are not limited to: planning, developing, organizing and supervising a diverse mix of recreation programs and services including summer camp and after-school as well as supervision of a designated facility; coordinating the scheduling of staff and volunteers to meet facility and program needs; completing contracts with individuals, organizations and businesses for events and activities; and conducting inventories and ordering equipment. Minimum Requirements:
Salary range: $49,369.45 – $70,598.31 (Depending on Experience)
$2,000.00 sign-on bonus to be paid as a lump sum after completion of a successful probationary period

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with coursework in recreation, physical education, or related field and minimal experience in recreation program planning and implementation, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have a valid NC Driver’s License
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Minimum of 2-4 years Parks & Recreation work experience
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred or willing to attain certification in first six months
- CPRP certification preferred
- Aquatics experience a plus but not necessary
