The Operations Manager develops, coordinates, and implements strategies and objectives for buildings, equipment, and grounds operations. The Manager will support the management, operation, and educational programming of Quinta Mazatlán.
The position reports to the center's Executive Director and works to identify and prioritize facility and grounds improvements and maintenance. This position also supervises the Building & Grounds teams, Custodial teams, and Maintenance staff; serves as the lead coordinator with external contractors, risk management, and City Of Mc Allen facility contacts.
The Operations Manager fulfills a critical role of overseeing the operations of buildings, maintenance, technology needs, nature center goals, land management objectives, and equipment operations, including on-site vehicles and equipment. This position coordinates with the Executive Director for all work matters including recruitment, hiring, training, and performance management of operations staff; budget development; policy development and implementation; donor development campaigns; and long-term facility planning. This position shares responsibility as emergency on-call, security officer and on an as-needed basis for evening and weekend
programming.
