What you will be doing:
Are you passionate about public health partnerships and harm reduction? Be part of a team where no two days are the same, and activities range from understanding the impact of hepatitis C and intersecting epidemics ("syndemic") of HIV, STDs, and opioid use disorder to promoting best practices around collaboration to address them. You will serve as the Hepatitis C and Syndemic Lead for the Hepatitis Team within the Infectious Disease Program of the Section of Epidemiology. Duties include overseeing all the activities and grants that support hepatitis tracking and prevention efforts in the Alaska Division of Public Health, coordinating with other public health programs and entities that do harm reduction and related work in HIV, STI, and opioid use prevention and treatment, and promoting hepatitis C and related infectious disease prevention for Alaskans.
