Prosper Portland?seeks an experienced Project Coordinator to join our Business Advancement Team within our Economic Development Department. This position will support the planning, coordination, and implementation of small projects and initiatives for the Business Advancement Team, including projects in support of project managers for industry-specific strategies and teamwide projects. This position will also assist project teams with coordination related to project scheduling, timelines, event planning, relationship management and administration. As a member of the Business Advancement Team, you will also contribute to the implementation of other economic development initiatives to support Prosper Portland’s mission in building an equitable economy.

Functions and Responsibilities
Supports the Enterprise Zone Program Manager, including tracking business compliance, updating Customer Relationship Management System with business engagement, and processing payments for the program.
Serves as the initial point of contact, coordinates and/or provides support for business recruitment and retention activities.
Provides customer service and technical support to businesses, partners, and clients.
Coordinates and assists with the communications for projects and programs including updates to website content, social media, marketing, and other Business Advancement Team correspondence.
Coordinates and assists with events, community and business outreach, and engagement.
Collaborates with and assists project teams and other stakeholders in planning, developing, and implementing projects and programs.
Serves as a representative of the Business Advancement Team at meetings, work groups and other events as determined.
Coordinates the development, implementation and maintenance of Customer Relationship Management systems and other database systems. Inputs data, as needed, into the Customer Relationship Management system and provides support with reporting.
Drafts, sets up, reviews, distributes, and processes grants, scopes of work, contracts, purchase orders, sponsorships, memberships and amendments for the Business Advancement Team.
Processes and tracks payments and invoices; monitors contract/purchasing use.
Assists the agency with special projects, events, committees, and other relevant duties as assigned.

Minimum Education, Training and/or Experience Four years of experience in any of the following areas: project coordination, economic development, public administration, urban planning, community outreach, community development, business development or a closely related field. An Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree will substitute for up to one year of experience.
Physical Requirements Position requires ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time along with the ability to frequently move throughout the office. Position often uses a computer and other standard office equipment. Position must communicate and interact with internal and external stakeholders. Position rarely will lift or move objects up to 50lbs.
Working Conditions Normal working hours Monday through Friday [8 AM – 5 PM] in a combination of in-person and remote work; however, additional hours may be needed to meet deadlines. Position requires local travel to external meetings or events. Travel out of the metro area including out of state and international travel, although rare, may occur. Position will be expected to engage in conversation and personal reflection around race, racism, and equity.
