The Office of Education Innovation (OEI) is a charter school authorizer responsible for overseeing the academics, finances, and operations of mayor-sponsored public charter schools that educate about 18,000 students across the city. Our staff also closely scrutinizes charter school proposals to ensure high-quality, accessible, and equitable plans.
Job Summary
Position will manage and execute the Circle City Readers high dosage tutoring program across 10 sites, which includes oversight of 35 part-time tutors, 5 part-time lead tutors, and 1 full-time literacy manager. The Program Administrator – Special Programs (PASP) has a goal of effectively implementing the tutoring program to drive better literacy results in schools across Marion County. The PASP is the project manager and content expert of the program but works closely with OEI and other partner agencies to administer and modify the program as needed. The position reports to the Deputy Director of OEI.

Position Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day project management and delegate roles and responsibilities to ensure on track completion of the tutoring program.
- Cultivate relationships with various community partners that play key roles in the effort, such as schools, school districts, community organizations, education nonprofits, funders, and elected officials.
- Maintain relationships with vendors to ensure effective and timely execution of the initiative.
- Ensure all participating sites and individuals have needed materials, supplies, and training.
- Oversee and implement tutor hiring and onboarding.
- Supporting other education initiatives within the Office of Education Innovation

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in arts. 5-7 years of experience in education. Experience with the Science of Reading, data analysis, program management, managing others, and managing federal funding and reporting requirements strongly preferred. Experience with student formative assessments including NWEA, ILEARN, IREAD, and DIBELS preferred.
