Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Director of Residential Services, the Residential Program Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direct supervision to the Residential Program direct care staff at four separate residential homes to ensure clinical quality goals and optimal care are achieved within the Residential Program for Agency consumers. Essential Responsibilities
Works with the Director of Residential Services and direct reports to initiate and coordinate planning of program operations to ensure program compliance for adults with developmental disabilities
Manage and maintain the quality, integrity and effectiveness of the Residential Program staff and their needs, consumer health and safety as well as buildings and grounds
Make sure that consumers receive optimal care in compliance and alignment with their ISP
Effectively partner with guardians, support administrators, consumers, support staff, physicians, and others from various programs and agencies
Manage staffing hours according to the CPT
Responsible for the assignment and delegation of tasks and projects for the Program Specialist, Site Leaders and Direct Support Professionals assigned to each location
Work effectively with guardians, Support Administrators, other service providers and HFI support staff.
Attend and oversee meetings regarding the care of consumers
Ensure that facilities are licensure ready at all times
Participates in strategic implementation of program changes
Must be able to carry an Agency phone and be on call
Effectively allocate and manage consumer finances and other resources and support services.
Provides professional development for Program Specialist, Site Leaders and Direct Support Professionals
Seeks opportunities and training to increase own knowledge base
Provides appropriate and effective corrective action when required
Monitor and report problems and progress of residential programs to the Director of Residential Services.
Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the program
Ensures timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and industry trends
Endorse innovation and creativity that increases efficiency and productivity
Must be able to satisfactorily complete other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
Must have a high school diploma or GED; a 4-year degree in a relevant field is preferred.
The preferred candidate will generally have 2 years' experience or offsetting experience/training related to:
People Management experience and;
Experience working with DODD and;
Working directly with and for people with developmental disabilities.
5 Years of solid experience working as a Program Manager/Director in a DD Residential setting is preferred.
An accomplished professional with superior communication, leadership and management skills
Must be able to carry an Agency phone and be on-call
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and have the ability to learn and use other software and systems
Must have a valid driver’s license with less than 6 pts, and successfully pass a background check that includes a BCI and FBI criminal history check
Must maintain current Med Pass and CPR/First Aid Certification; training available for CPR and Med Pass onsite
Has the desire, ability and energy to lead in an agency that is focused on maintaining a reputation of excellence
Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel throughout Cuyahoga, Lake and Summit county and surrounding areas
