Professional Pet Groomer

Job Overview
***Please do not apply if you are not a trained groomer*** We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services to our clients. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with various breeds and temperaments. We offer graduated pay levels 50% for 0-3yr, 55% for 4-10yrs, 60% over 10 yrs experience.
Responsibilities

Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling pets according to breed standards and client preferences.
Ensure the safety and comfort of pets during grooming sessions through proper handling techniques and animal restraint methods.
Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area and equipment to ensure a safe environment for both pets and staff.
Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs, behaviors, and any health concerns observed during grooming sessions.
Provide additional pet care services such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and anal gland expression as needed.
Assist in managing appointments and scheduling for grooming services while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Previous experience in pet grooming.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
Experience in animal restraint techniques to ensure safe handling of pets during grooming sessions.
Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or moving equipment.
Knowledge of various dog breeds, coat types, and appropriate grooming techniques is a plus.
Experience in kennel management or pet sitting can be beneficial for understanding animal behavior.
A genuine love for animals and commitment to their care is essential for success in this role.
