Piping Designer, Midlevel (REMOTE)
Mid-level Piping Designer position with focusing on design of water and wastewater facilities.
Responsibilities:
Mid-level Piping Designer position with focusing on design of water and wastewater facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop piping systems drawings including pipe spacing, fitting makeup, valve locations, and in- line components
- Ability to layout HVAC ductwork and associated mechanical equipment from sketches and catalog cut sheets provided by engineers and senior design staff.
- Create 2D drawings extractions from 3D design models
- Execute changes to designs or sketches and redlines or mark-ups on ongoing projects.
- Working knowledge of water, wastewater, and infrastructure design.
- Basic understanding of converting data between Micro Station and Auto CAD.
- 5+ years of experience in Process Piping Design, 2D mechanical design drawing and modeling in 3D
- Knowledge of design software such as: REVIT, Auto CAD, Micro Station 2D and 3D and Excel to develop the design deliverables. Ability to learn and effectively utilize new design software programs.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Associates degree preferred
