Job Overview
As the Partnership Development VISTA, you will help ACC strengthen relationships with corporate partners to support refugee employment and housing stability. Working closely with the Development Manager, you will research and identify new corporate partnerships, develop strategies for engaging businesses as donors and employers, and create frameworks for corporate volunteerism and support. You will build connections that increase ACC’s capacity to fund and expand vital programs, such as the Emergency Rental Assistance Program.
Additionally, you will work on establishing employment pipelines for refugees by partnering with businesses to provide job opportunities. Your efforts will directly impact the sustainability of ACC’s programs, enhance employment outcomes for refugees, and foster long-term community support. This role will provide a meaningful opportunity to create lasting change while developing valuable skills in partnership development and nonprofit management. This position is slated to work full-time, Monday-Friday for one year (January 13, 2025 - January 12, 2025). Research and create strategies to engage corporations as partners, donors, and employers.
Build frameworks for various types of corporate engagement, including volunteerism, in-kind donations, financial contribution, and employment pathways for refugees.
Develop new partnerships and strengthen existing ones to help secure private funds for essential programs and Emergency Rental Assistance for refugees.
Leverage corporate social responsibility and workplace volunteerism to engage businesses in refugee employment and housing efforts.
Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong cross-cultural communication skills.
Able to demonstrate cross-cultural sensitivity while working with diverse populations.
Flexible, motivated, organized, and tech-savvy.
Experience working with at-risk populations is a plus.
Competency in a language other than English is a plus.
