Description:
Looking to make a difference at a local nonprofit with a flexible schedule? The Norman Bird Sanctuary in Middletown, RI is looking for a per diem receptionist to fill in scheduling gaps. Our Welcome Center is open seven days a week from 9am—5pm, you would be responsible for answering phones, directing visitors, processing gift shop sales and deliveries. We are looking for a permanent per-diem staff member to join our fun and team-oriented staff on an as-needed basis.

- High school diploma or relevant work experience
- Weekend Availability
- Able to provide a minimum of two professional references
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable (we have busy and slow seasons)
- Passion for customer service, conservation, environmental education, and access to nature
