High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Must be currently enrolled in a registered nurse program at an accredited school of nursing.
Must currently be enrolled in the equivalent of the junior year of nursing school and/or participating in a clinical rotation.
Responsibilities of the Nurse Tech position include but are not limited to:
Supports the nursing staff by performing routine clerical and patient care activities and assigned tasks within the scope of his/her training.
Obtaining Preop weights.
Surgical Skin prep cleanse and shaving.
Assisting patients with incentive spirometer.
Accuchecks
Collecting lab specimens
Vital signs/assists with post-surgery recovery and assisting to the bathroom
Performs other duties as assigned by department management according to policies and procedures and the mission of Woman's Hospital.
