What you’ll do:

• You will develop strategy and connected strategic initiatives to facilitate cross-business synergies across a rationalized set of regional preferred supplier partners.
• You will negotiate and manage key strategic supplier contracts and relationships across multiple categories (NFM - Aluminum and NFM - Copper).
• You will review, approve, monitor and report compliance to category agreements and strategies based upon Eaton SCM strategic directions.
• You will develop innovative business solutions, forecast commodity projections and provide mitigation actions as applicable to ensure key metrics for the procurement function (Cost Out, DPO, Diversity Spend, etc.) are achieved.
• You will develop and present regional communication plans and share new planning tools, methods, technical analysis, standards and procurement opportunities with senior management that are aligned with SCM/Eaton strategic plans and cost reduction initiatives.
• You will benchmark procurement processes to develop and implement best practices throughout Eaton and Supply Chain Management.
• You will ensure compliance of suppliers with Eaton SCM Sustainability Programs, and SCM policies.
• You will plan, prepare and execute annual profit planning for the owned spend, and support execution with the business cross functional teams.
• You will lead Supplier Business Reviews with strategic suppliers
• You will support flex in the Category scope following acquisitions or divestiture in the business

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 4 years' professional experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain or Operations
• 2+ years of experience as a strategic buyer or category manager
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the posted work location(s) will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or Business Administration from an accredited institution
• Professional Supply Chain related certification (e.g. CPM, CPIM)
• MBA from an accredited institution
• Prior experience with metals and/or commodity purchasing.
• 2-4 years’ professional experience with accountability across multiple manufacturing facilities

Skills:

• Clear understanding of the sourcing process, category management, cost analysis and industry best purchasing practices. Background in copper and/or aluminum extruded wire, bar, coil, foil and sheet for electrical applications is preferred.
