JOB DESCRIPTION: Delivery Assistant
Job Classification: Full Time/Non-exempt/Hourly
Company Description
Driven Ex specializes in the distribution, delivery, and installation of large merchandise such as major appliances, furniture, mattresses, exercise equipment, cabinets, and more. We provide home and builder deliveries as well as white-glove service in New Mexico, southern Colorado, and eastern Arizona. We operate out of our warehouse facility in Rio Rancho, NM. We are currently a small business with approximately 15 employees.
Primary Responsibilities

Load and unload trucks.
Assist in delivery of all merchandize and closely follows the instructions of the Driver/Installer.
Assist Driver/Installer with the installation of household appliances, both gas and electric which requires light electrical and plumbing knowledge and training.
Once installed, test appliances and parts in order to identify ensure they are operating correctly and that there are no defects. Make necessary repairs or replacements, if appliances are not in good working order.
Prepare tools and parts necessary for the installations and repairs of the day.
Pick up and unload old appliances for disposal.
Organize/maintain all inventory in the warehouse. Keep warehouse organized, tidy and safe.
Receive and unload incoming inventory items.
Check, verify and load outgoing inventory items.
Inspect products for defects and damage throughout the loading and unloading processes.
Use appliance dollies and other required equipment for safely moving inventory.
Accurately fill out required paperwork.
Abide by all company safety rules and regulations. Reports problems and potential issues to management
Remove trash and cardboard from trucks that have returned from routes.
All other duties as assigned by management.

Basic reading abilities
Basic writing abilities
Some experience in Logistics, picking up, handling, transporting and delivering appliances and freight is strongly preferred but, not required.
Must be able to operate a mobile phone
