Music Retail Sales Associate
Job Overview
Nashville Used & New Music is looking for a Retail Sales Associate to join our team. We are Nashville's premier independently owned music shop, since 1976. The ideal candidate for this position would have knowledge of musical gear and equipment (the more the better) with a willingness to learn, have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, have good communication skills, and be a team player. We are looking for full/part time with weekend availability.
Duties
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations and answer any questions regarding products and services.
- Process transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle returns and exchanges in accordance with store policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, including restocking shelves as needed.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding customer service, safety, and security.
- Strong sales skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
- Proficient phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
