Job Title: Metal Spinning Technician Reports To: Manager of Planning Summary: The metal spinning technician sets up and operates the spinning lathe to spin shaped articles from sheet or plate metal, using blueprints and knowledge of physical properties of metal. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as required.
Operates CNC machines such as lathes, milling machines and grinders to product metal parts.
Review electronic or written blueprints and specifications for a job.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience using various types of hand tools and/or hand-held power tools, floor mounted power tools and precision measuring tools on structures materials.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Must be able to spin aluminum and stainless steel.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
Ability to use manual and CNC metal spinning machines.
Advance measuring skills: ability to read calipers and micrometers
