Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Memory Care Director to lead our memory care program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program development and team management, with a passion for enhancing the quality of life for residents with memory impairments. This role requires effective leadership skills, strategic planning, and the ability to implement best practices in memory care.
Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the memory care unit, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for residents.
Develop and implement individualized care plans that cater to the unique needs of each resident.
Lead, train, and manage a team of caregivers and support staff, fostering a culture of compassion and excellence in care.
Utilize tools such as Primavera for project implementation and business process modeling to enhance operational efficiency.
Collaborate with families and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive support for residents.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs, making adjustments as necessary to improve resident outcomes.
Facilitate regular team meetings to discuss resident progress and address any concerns or challenges.
Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to memory care.
Qualifications
Proven experience in program management or development within a healthcare or senior living setting.
Strong team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
Familiarity with Scrum methodologies is a plus for agile project management.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present information effectively to various audiences.
Experience with project implementation tools is preferred.
A compassionate approach towards residents with memory impairments and their families is essential.
Relevant certifications or degrees in gerontology, nursing, social work, or related fields are advantageous.
