The Medical Scribe's primary responsibilities are working closely with surgical assistants and the doctor to ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records. This role requires a strong commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with office and safety policies. The primary responsibility will be writing notes, adjusting existing notes, and ensuring that the doctor signs notes in a timely manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the surgical team and doctor to ensure all medical records, including patient charts and histories, are accurate and up-to-date.
Input comprehensive medical history and relevant data into patient charts, ensuring complete and precise documentation.
Assist the office manager in ensuring that all medical notes are signed and finalized in a timely manner, adhering to office protocols.
Accurately record and update sedation details in patient charts, maintaining consistency and compliance with practice standards.
Follow all OSHA guidelines and internal office policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.
Perform other administrative and support duties as directed by the medical team or office manager to enhance the efficiency of the practice.
Uphold the practice’s philosophy, goals, and objectives, contributing to a collaborative and patient-focused environment.
Utilize office computer systems effectively, including time clock, schedule management, email, and other relevant software tools.
Minimum requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
CPR certification required
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
