Medical Receptionist – Healthcare Experience A MUST

Medical Receptionist who will serve as the first point of contact for our clients. This role is key in helping clients navigate their appointments, intakes, and discharge processes, making a positive impact on their experience from start to finish.

About the Role Our Medical Receptionists are the welcoming faces and voices of our center, whether on the phone or in person. You will handle a range of responsibilities, from answering questions to scheduling appointments and managing intake and discharge processes. This role requires strong interpersonal and computer skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment.
Key Qualifications
- Healthcare Experience: Prior experience in a medical or mental health setting is essential.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word, is required along with facility with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Excellent Communicator: Strong communication skills with the ability to engage compassionately and effectively with clients and staff.
- Organized & Efficient: Skilled in multitasking, with strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Confidentiality & Sensitivity: Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, along with sensitivity to clients from diverse backgrounds and needs.
Responsibilities
- Client Reception & Scheduling: Greet all clients and visitors, direct them appropriately, and manage clinician schedules within the EMR system.
- Phone & Message Management: Answer all incoming calls, take messages, and route them as necessary.
- Intake & Discharge Coordination: Serve as the Intake Point of Contact, processing all intakes and preparing discharge letters.
- Insurance & Payments: Obtain and verify insurance details, update contact information, and collect co-pays, co-insurance and other payments.
- Supportive Communication: Provide general information about CBHC services and connect clients to the appropriate team members for specific needs.
- Data Accuracy & Confidentiality: Ensure all client data is accurate and up to date in the EMR system, maintaining high standards of confidentiality.
- Miscellaneous Duties: Support the team with additional duties as assigned.
