Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Duties:
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.50 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 26 per week

Duties:
- Assist healthcare providers in delivering patient care, including taking vital signs, documenting patient history, and preparing examination rooms.
- Conduct initial patient screenings, including gathering medical history and verifying patient information.
- Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and follow-up care as directed by healthcare providers.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters in electronic medical records (EMR) system.
- Provide patient education on various health topics, medications, and treatment plans as instructed by healthcare providers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of medical supplies as needed.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare team members to optimize patient care delivery.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a medical assistant program preferred.
- Able to work Monday, Tuesdays & Thursdays.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred .
- Prior experience working in a medical office or urgent care setting is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and basic anatomy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
