Math Interventionist position available at Gallagher Middle School beginning November 8, 2024DESCRIPTIONThe math interventionist is responsible for providing supplemental math instruction to identified students within a multi-tiered system of supports.QUALIFICATIONSRI Department of Education Certification in one of the following: Middle School Mathematics Teacher Grades 5-8 (Preferred)Middle School Mathematics Elementary or Secondary Extension Minimum of 5 years of mathematics teaching (preferably at middle school level)Experience with Math Addvantage and Bridges Intervention Curriculum (Preferred)REPORTS TOSchool Principal REPRESENTATION STATUSNEA Contract DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Plan, organize, and provide direct math instruction to identified students.Regularly use formative and summative assessments to develop, guide, and/or modifymathematics instruction to accommodate individual and student group needs.Gather, organize, and interpret progress monitoring and assessment data.Utilize best practice instructional strategies and research-based intervention curriculum materials to meet the learning needs of students.Regularly collaborate with mathematics teachers, special educators, and administrators.Serve on the building-level MTSS team (as needed). Maintain accurate student records, parent communication records, and student progress data.Provide a nurturing, supportive, and positive learning environment with high expectations.Facilitate frequent and effective homeschool communication, etc.Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the principal.
