Full job description The North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce is seeking a full-time Programs Manager to start as soon as possible. This position offers paid time off, available health insurance, and a Simple IRA with 3% match by employer. As an independent 501(c)6 nonprofit business members driven organization, The North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce enhances the Town of North Kingstown and the surrounding areas, by advocating, informing, engaging and assisting in sustainable business growth. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Membership Programs and Events:
Develop, outline and schedule all existing membership programs, including Morning Coffee Talks, Lunch and Learns, Engaging Evenings for members and fundraising events like ‘Savor the Sunset’, and the ‘Taste of NK’.
Maintain relationships with businesses in the area and counterparts at other Chambers of Commerce to successfully execute programming.
Engage and check-in with members and visiting non-members who attend networking and educational programs.
Develop, outline, and schedule any new community outreach programs, both one-time and recurring.
Coordinate with staff on the logistics, details, and expectations of programs prior to launch.
Provide referrals for members and visitors to the area.
Carry out the various financial and data management for grant programming.
Track, record, and maintain data related to all programs.
Basic data entry into Excel and Quick Books.
Marketing and Communications:
Produce, edit and distribute weekly digital newsletters.
Execute successful marketing plan.
Assist with internship program and their activities.
Implement an onboarding system for new members.
Gather and organize materials, including purchasing items to ensure the successful execution of programs and the needs of the office.
Other Duties
Perform other duties as they pertain to the overall needs of the organization as required.

This job has no staff supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
College Degree or equivalent experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous projects management experience preferred but not required.
Computer skills required:
Spreadsheet Software (Excel);
Word Processing Software (Word); and
Electronic Mail Software (Outlook).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is frequently conducted in an office environment. Occasionally the work is performed in other indoor or outdoor settings. While performing duties of job, the employee is required to remain in a stationary position frequently. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office and out in public to access file cabinets, office machinery etc. The person in this position constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Occasionally, ascends/descends areas of the office to welcome visitors and to work with office equipment. The person in this position frequently communicates with prospective members, other staff, and visitors who have inquiries. The employee must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Must be able to move, and transport materials for programs.
