JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Plans, coordinates and manages operations and activities within assigned nursing program or organizational unit(s) to effectively and efficiently provide quality health care and maximize patient outcomes in accordance with nursing standards of care, hospital policies and procedures, compliance/performance improvement, safety, infection control, and other regulatory requirements.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: BSN required.
EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of RN management required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Current license to work as registered Nurse in TN.
Current CPR/BLS certification required.
NRP & ACLS preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served within assigned program or unit(s).
- Demonstrated technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills with a thorough knowledge/understanding of professional nursing/patient care practices, State/Joint Commission standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to develop, present, implement and maintain activities within assigned program or organizational unit(s).
- Ability to give and follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to plan and organize work for self and others.
- Ability to exercise analytical judgment on work to be done
- Ability to judge the appropriate action in response to changes, circumstances or problems.
- Demonstrated organizational and communication skills to work collaboratively and effectively with others.
- Demonstrated ability to work with multiple independent projects simultaneously.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Prolonged standing and walking, utilization of patient care equipment and other physical demands required in a patient care environment; exposure to infectious agents. Visual acuity is needed to assess color changes, to verify accuracy of written materials, and to administer and accurately prepare medications. Heavy Work - Exerting up to 150 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 75 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 30 pounds of force constantly to move objects. (May be further defined as "with or without assistance.")
