Maintenance Technician
Position Summary:
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 45 per week
Benefits:
- We are an established manufacturing company based in Chattanooga, Tennessee seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to perform tasks such as equipment repairs, installations, and general maintenance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Perform routine general facility maintenance and repair tasks on manufacturing equipment.
- Conduct inspections of premises and equipment to identify potential issues.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs
- Maintain inventory of supplies and tools. Order when appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
- Document maintenance activities and maintain records of repairs.
- Collaborate with other team members and management to enhance facility operations.
- Periodic travel for training and / or certifications may be necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.
- Some knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good physical condition and strength; ability to lift heavy items as needed.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Previous experience working for a manufacturing company is a plus.
- May require on-call hours for emergency repairs.
- Physical demands include lifting, climbing, and bending.
- Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
